![]() ![]() I’ll admit, as soon as the news broke of her passing, I, like everyone else, was instantly numb from the shock trying to process the devastating news as I found out while on the journey home from work, and the first thing I did as soon as I got home was I changed the colours of this website to black and royal purple to pay my respects to Her Majesty The Queen.Īs a result, I decided to pause all content I originally intended to post on here until after the state funeral and national mourning period concluded as I wanted to pay tribute as the news of her passing was and always will be raw for all of us. It was devastating news we didn’t think would ever come as Queen Elizabeth II recently celebrated 70 years since her ascension to the throne in 1952 during the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations on the 2nd of June, making her the longest reigning monarch. It’s been an emotional month as the last few weeks proved the solidarity of everyone coming together after the devastating news that Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96, observing the national mourning period which lasted for ten days.
